TRANSPORTATION2) NEW ADVANCES IN VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AERONAUTICS: This new systematic approach to "flying" changes the rules of traditional aeronautics and lifting principles. For instance, the wings can achieve maximum lift at zero ground speed; this in itself causes the "Lift to Drag Ratio" to be undefinable in traditional terms. The real advantage, however, is dramatically increasing control and maneuverability during vertical take-off, hovering, and landing operations over the typical "vectored thrust" VTOL airplanes. Also, there is no "hot thrust", no spinning blades, and minimal sound S.P.L.. This opens new possibilities for small Search & Rescue Crafts that can "dead-stick" hover and reach within inches of rock walls, building ledges, power lines, and tree branches for search-and-rescue operations, or even simple maintenance of towers and bridges. This
concept raises the level of precision for the entire semiconductor
process
industry. By eliminating "Boundary Layer Backscatter" of current RF
driven
etch plasmas, the "Top Feature Radius" is significantly reduced. This
inturn,
allows much closer spacing of the surface features. This technology
also
has "deep trench" capabilities and may be able to drill holes and
patterns
clean through the substrate, opening new possibilities in micro-pore
filters

2) Low Cost, High C.F.M. Vacuum Pumps: Using multiple, 'injection molded' stages, a low cost roughing pump can be made which has a higher initial throughput than typical roughing pumps, getting to 80% vacuum sooner. This has applications in semiconductor manufacturing, light bulb manufacturing, the packing industry, freeze drying, food preservation, and various types of material processing.
3) Real Time, Adaptive Robotic Systems: By re-arranging the architecture between the control loop and the computer control, new types of compact control algorithms can be developed which simplifies the control loop's process of adapting to a wider range of dynamic conditions. Some of these algorithms include:
POWER
MANAGEMENT2) Upgrading Power Plants: These thermo-generators are mostly intended for field retro-fits of existing power plants and metal foundries. It is estimated that this technology can recover as much as 25% to 35% of the energy lost in the “waste heat” from an electric power plant. This technology would increase the total power output of the facility with the same fuel usage, meeting the increased power demands of tomorrow by economically upgrading the existing power plants of today. Also, other industries could add to the power grid with their existing facilities, such as the steel and glass foundries.
3) Passive Solar to Electric Power Conversion System:This combines solar generated steam and a cold water source to generate electric power for farms, ranches and remote field stations. Additional fuel sources, such as propane or wood, can also be used to generate the same steam for reliable power in cloudy or winter conditions.
The system can be design completely passive, using only “convection currents” to circulate the thermal exchange process. This “no moving parts” construction greatly increases the long term reliability; an important consideration for remote survey stations. These installations are permanent, compact and may include underground circulation tanks. The estimated power range is from 5K to 50K Watts, which is enough for a few buildings, tools, and equipment, --supporting a dozen people or so.
The active component in this technology is currently around the same
price per square area as standard solar cells. This price is expected
to
drop with high volume manufacturing, and overall system
efficiency
is expected to be three to four times that of solar cells.

3) Telsa Coil Enhancements: This concept combines the "dis-charging capacitor" with the "primary coil" in a way that doubles the ampere-turns of current in the primary. The special construction allows this capacitor to be varied or "tuned" during operation with a low pressure pneumatic hose and air supply.
